Here at Mix 14 we carry out rigorous burns testing on a range of aerospace products. We specialise in a 48hr turn around for all test pieces, including a 7 day a week service.

Example of a Burns Test

Customer A delivers seating arm caps covered with a new leather and refurbished with new foam for a 12 second vertical test, unfortunately these items fail the test.

With over 200 of these items already manufactured the customer had few choices, either completely remanufacture the items or scrap the parts.

After accepting the challenge the Mix14 developed a liquid FR system (MX-PACE-01) that could be delivered to the bonding surfaces of the arm caps without the need to take the items part. After application, further testing showed full compliance with the required regulations.
